The Kingdom Of Copper

The Kingdom of Copper (The Daevabad Trilogy, #2)The Kingdom of Copper by S.A. Chakraborty
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This sequel picks up 5 years after the last book City of Brass left off, with Nahri, Ali, and Dara each facing their own trials, but separated from each other.

The world of Daevabad is magical and unique, Chakraborty’s writing and world-building is absolutely excellent. There are plenty of twists and turns and each chapter is told from each main character in turn helping to keep the story moving at pace. The character development was also well done.

The court and political intrigue in this book are very well done – it’s all shades of grey rather than good vs. evil!

Excellent read.
