Terrestrial TV Should go back

Several years ago the terrestrial TV companies would build an audience for a programme by screening an episode of a series every week.

Then along came streaming and they would “drop” an entire series at once enabling people to “binge watch”.

However TV companies now seem to be adopting the streaming tactic. They broadcast the first episode of a new series then say you can now watch the entire series on our streaming (or Player) thus failing to build an audience.

Meantime. streaming channels have gone to the way terrestrial used to work and some series are only be released one episode per week. Building an audience and anticipation of “what happens next”.

Perhaps terrestrial TV should go back to what it did best, only screen a series one episode per week and when it’s finished make it available on their “player”.
